The PondRelease

When an animal is healthy enough to be released from our care, they are released in the safest environments possible.

Treehouse tries to release most animals to sites where they originally came from. Occasionally, if the original site is unsafe or uninhabitable for some reason, an animal must be released in a different location from where it was found.

Treehouse has a number of protected release sites in different areas of Illinois.

Unreleasable Animals

Unfortunately, some animals that are admitted to Treehouse cannot be released because they have permanent injuries or other conditions that make it impossible for release consideration. Some animals with severe and unrepairable injuries are euthanized. Others fulfill very important roles necessary to the success and continuity of Treehouse's operation.
