Spuds & Mac

Spuds (the female) and McGwire (the male) have similar stories, but
were admitted nearly a decade apart.   Both had run into
powerlines
and were brought to TreeHouse by good samaritans.

Because of severe wing injuries, each one had to have a wing
amputated. As amputees, they are not able to fly and, therefore,
cannot be released back into the wild, so they spend their days
enjoying each other's company and amazing visitors, young and old
alike.

Mac (McGwire) is named for St Louis Cardinal's player, Mark McGwire.

Make sure to stop by their cage and say hi on your next visit to
TreeHouse Wildlife Center!!
Adopt Spuds & Mac today and help
provide food and care for them and
other animals at TreeHouse.
